Miss Cumbria will take part in Bupa’s Great North Run.
My visit to the Rheged Centre on 30th January was extremely interesting.
It is a fabulous place with a wonderful grass covered building which has been designed to look like a Lakeland hill containing lots of little shops championing craft and local produce of Cumbria, 3D cinemas, indoor & outdoor play centres and conference facilities.
I met up with Jo from the Rheged Centre, who was lovely, we discussed and agreed that it would be rather nice if I presented and provided commentary for the wedding fayre catwalks this spring, so I cannot tell you just how excited I am meeting about meeting everyone and seeing all those beautiful dresses!
Last week I met Steve at the Eden Valley Hospital, I very much wish to spend time helping with fundraising events for this amazing charity.
Yesterday, I received my application form to sign up as a volunteer, so will be completing and popping it back in the post later this week, and looking forward to helping out as & when I can.
So, all in all a fairly busy week or so, as I have been away on a college trip to Spain arriving back on Thursday evening, to discover I have been accepted as a competitor for BUPA’s Great North Run to be held in Newcastle later this year.
Busy times ahead, but really looking forward to the challenges over the forthcoming months!
Much Love
Charlotte xx
