Miss Cumbria talks about her preparations for the Miss England Finals.

another busy couple of weeks at college completing assignments in preparation for the end of the academic year and course in Civil Service studies; as previously mentioned in my earlier blogs I shall be attending the International Screen School of Acting from October to undertake a two year course in acting.

I’m now in the throes of looking for accommodation in London, discovering suitable places to rent, however will focus fully on this task of finding fellow flatmates and student accommodation later in the summer.

On Friday, I travelled to Watford for my photo-shoot at Fresh Academy, everyone was very welcoming and helpful, I cannot thank the whole team at ‘Fresh’ enough; my hair & make-up were stunning, evidenced by the truly lovely photographs which were taken for the  Miss Modelésque round at Miss England

I have spent a very pleasant day today trying on dresses for Miss England, I have managed to short-list 4/5 dresses, so will be travelling back across the Border to Glasgow & Edinburgh over the weekend to make that all important purchase!

Finally, I was delighted to accept Emma Strong’s’ kind invitation to run the auction for Cancer Research’s Masquerade Ball to be held at the Rheged Centre, Penrith in September.

It goes without saying that Miss Cumbria has enabled me to undertake and become more involved with the community, particularly in helping those causes so close to my heart.

Well, that’s all for now, looking forward to writing again in a couple of weeks.
