Easter bunnies, Easter Eggs and a running challenge!
Well I have to say, it’s been a lovely Easter, albeit a busy one, the weather in Cumbria, has been beautiful, that said, it’s raining today!
Last Thursday afternoon, which as previously mentioned was a beautiful day, was spent in Morrison’s supermarket, dressed in a rather cute bunny outfit raising money for Eden Valley Hospice selling raffle tickets and running the Tombola, gosh it was warm!
However, lots of money was raised and I received, from one kindly old chap with clearly a great sense of humour, a carrot along with his donation, which everyone thought was hilarious!
On Good Friday afternoon, which must have been the hottest day of the week I donated, with the help of Tesco’s, fifty Easter Eggs to the families of Eden Valley Hospice and a further twenty eggs to the children’s ward at Carlisle Hospital.
The air conditioning in the car was on full blast, as I was extremely concerned of a potential chocolate melt-down in the back of the car ~ I shall be writing to Tesco’s later this week to say thank you for their kindness and generosity.
Training for The Race for Life and Great North Run is going really well. I’m currently managing between four-six miles a day, which I am really pleased about, so on target to complete both courses in a timely manner.
Well here’s looking forward to catching up with you soon~
