Big Changes for Miss Cumbria!
It’s that time of the week again! The last 2 weeks have been rather busy I have now officially moved to London and living within student accommodation (Unite Stratford One) which is situated opposite the Olympic Park which is unexplainably beautiful at night.
Moving to University by train wasn’t as much hassle as I thought it would be, bearing in mind the amount of stuff I have but that might have been because I had my amazing brother helping me out.
Although not all of my flat mates have arrived yet I love every single one of them. It’s an added bonus that the majority of my flat is acting/theatre students so technically we are all a bunch of drama queens.
We are already a little family and we have planned to have Fajita Friday’s and Movie Mondays! The last few days I have just been settling into my new home, exploring the Olympic park as it would be a crime not too and meeting new people.
The heat in London compared to Cumbria is very noticeable but then again I am used to it raining 364 days of the year pretty much however it gives me the opportunity go running around they Olympic park everyday which is an experience within itself.
On the 7th of September I completed the Great North Run in 2 hours and 13 minutes and finished 19696th out of 57 thousand which isn’t bad going if I say so myself!
Doing the Great North Run was such an amazing experience and I would recommend anyone to give it a go, I didn’t stop once to walk or rest as the crowd and other runners are so supportive of each other that they can carry you across the finish line.
It was the 8th mile when the pain started to kick in but because I was over half way I was determined to keep going which I did! When I got to the finish line and stopped running my legs literally gave way but apart from that, the sense of accomplishment was amazing.
More to come soon!
